So, the 30 day may not happen as planned, but it has motivated me back into drawing and sketching. That is a good thing. I'll just nit pick the list in the mean time and slowly do it at my pace since I happen to be busy often (often with spontaneous, friend driven Saturday and Sundays).

30 Day Challenge /// July 12, 2012

As of today I will be doing a challenge. The challenge is a 30 day drawathon. Each day I have to illustrate something different. Today is a self portrait.

Sketch (guide lines): done.

Line work: done.

Tones on face: done.

Eyes and highlights: done.

Skin and hair: done.

Finished, sans background.

With background (Usually hate doing backgrounds for a portrait... maybe later).

I had seen a series of posters of the original trilogy of Star Wars done in a different way on reddit.com.  Here:

It got me thinking. I should do my own versions the way I saw the series. I'm going to do Episode I first. Then Episode II then III and so on and so forth. It'll be fun. I'll do different variations of the episodes. Character posters would be fun. I guess that's what I'll do first. I'm pretty excited. They're going to be digital. HAVE FUN. I know I will!

Yeah... ok. It's been quite a while since I've been in the game. I am slowly if not steadily getting back to it. I have more to come in the next week or so. Made these because... I felt like it. A friend thinks he's quitting so I made these to give him moral support. I might make more because I am that great of a friend.

I intend on them being made into pin buttons. That'd be a next step.

Here is something I did a few months ago and put on hold.  It was put into a frame and hung on the wall for a while.  The frame ended up falling a couple nights ago.  So I was finally able to document.  R.I.P. Ikea frame.

Yup.  Thinking about finally drawing an idea for a tattoo that I always thought I'd want.  I am still thinking on whether or not I'd get it.  Anyways it's going to be a remake of my family crest.

So I've been busy making money at a normal job and haven't done much with my skills.  I actually have my schedule so I can do stuff outside of a normal job (like art?) and finally can come back to this.


With out further delay I present to you something involving my skills.

Just a little something I did for a little while in between minecraft and job.  It's not much but I am still looking at models and drawing.  Another thing I have been doing is a Mural for the Manhattan Classic Car Club.

Just a little something something I did for about a half hour.  I got some new Photoshop brushes and tried a few out.  The watercolor ones are nice.

I have been trying out digital painting on and off.  it's a bit of a love/boring relationship.  I like Craig Mullins' work and thats why I try this now and then.  I am no Craig Mullins though, but practice never hurt anyone.

It's been a while fellas.  I have been neglecting blogger for too long!  Last post was so long ago that I feel guilty not updating with anything!


Anyways, I've graduated!  Real life has begun and it sort of blows.  I am jobless and living off of borrowed money from parents.  I am also in Brooklyn.  I have been job searching and let me tell you.  Nobody wants to hire a full time they all want part time and are relentless when it comes to people calling back.  I am not enjoying waiting on the one job I am stuck with because it's taking forever for them to call me for a follow up.  I should just call back anyway and ask them what the heck is going on.


I broke down an got an unlimited Metro card the other day.  Feels bad at first, but got better after doing a few trips.  I've visited a few places so far this summer.  Been to a Yankee game, Dead Horse Bay, Rockaway Beach and Staten Island Mall.  Very interesting places.


E3 happened and so many sweet games are coming up.  Totally excited for Portal 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and CoD: Black Ops.  I'm also excited to see the new Twisted Metal that was announced.  I so want to go to an E3 sometime in my life.  I highly doubt I will ever.
